My "free same day delivery" took four days. Don't advertise it if you can't do it.
I wanted to add a water line to my delivery, but the sales associate told me the manager would need to know and it would be easier for me to go to the store. Why can't you just let him/her know instead of me going to the store. It's not like I'm already getting a washing machine delivered. "Below and beyond" must be the new store motto and not "Who makes it happen? We do!" I'm only giving the extra star because it's a fairly good deal.
Within a few minutes Josh returned to the checkout counter with the correct item! He said they were in the back, not out on display where they should have been. He then fixed the ticket and we got the right item at the right sale price!
This place is quickly becoming a joke. Deals? Not even close. Nothing worth note, they only stock stuff with a high margin and nothing cutting edge. Good luck staying out of Amazon's cross-hairs. You will be disappearing along with Best Buy and others that cant compete.
Edit: Updating. Their delivery on major appliances I'd definitely not same day like they say but their delivery guys were top notch. My old refrigerator was much, much larger than we anticipated and they gave it a good try of getting it out. They even worked with me to change into a new refrigerator since the one I bought wouldn't fit (recessed refrigerator and no model/serial number so wasn't sure how much space I had to work with). Delivery being delayed is one thing but their customer service was great and very understanding.
I am giving this 5 star rating for Josh at checkout!! He was very, very helpful and patient as I tried to find all of the sales items to verify prices on my phone. When we found that an item was not on sale (even though a floor salesman gave me the item as the one on sale!!), Josh quickly said to wait and he would go figure it out.
This is your typical Fry's. Pricing is often hard to determine. Draconian check-outs are always demoralizing. Fry's has the feel of a by-gone department store. The inventory is decent, however. And, sales can be great at times. You have to give your email to get the codes, which stinks. Fry's and Microcenter are the primary brick and mortar stores for electronics so consumers have limited choices to buy local if they happen to even be in one of the cities served. One day, there may be a stellar local shopping experience, but I don't expect this to ever be a.reality.
