Another nurse gave me a blood thinner injection in the stomach. She rub-bed it in gentle circles. My stomach is still blue over half the area. What else did they not know?

The food was great. The call bells were answered promptly.

I told one R.N. that my pulse was missing some beats , irregular. She did not know to count the entire minute when checking the pulse. She checked for 15 Seconds and pronounced that there was not a problem. I know there was, but she was not taught correctly. Sad we were in the cardiac wing.

Not even a patient and not even treated like a human being. Left my aged mother in a soiled gown. Went to nurse station, nobody there. Staff dont give a damn, even security. Looking for a lawyer to sue the pants off this hospital. Woulda been better at St Johns. And it goes deeper

So Triage care doctor and certain nurses made me feel like they didn't believe I was in pain. I had kidney infection and turned into sepsis and I felt horrible and they waited hours to give me pain medicine. The nurses in the observation wing however are all wonderful caring women who are very diligent and sweet kind hearted people. My overall experience 5 day stay in and out of pain medicine sleeps was positive but getting in Triage in the emergency care unit those people thought I was faking.

I have been meaning to write this for a year, so here we go. This is in regards to the NICU doctors mostly. My son was born last year in Nov, 6 weeks early. He was sent to the NICU for breathing issues. 2 days later we came in and the nurse told us she suctioned him and got a ton of stuff out!! I was so happy but yet annoyed that my baby was having such a difficult time breathing and a simple suction would of helped him days ago! While most of the nurses are great, the doctors on staff are a complete joke. I saw at least 2, maybe 3 doctors during my son's stay. For the first 2 days I could not even get down to the NICU because of my c-section. I never even had a doc come to my room to tell me the status of my baby. Then when someone came by my room to ask how things were going, I told her, through tears!! Within an hour I had a NICU doctor in my room!! When a new doctor takes over at least introduce yourself! I mean, seriously? I had one lady come in and start talking to me, never said who she was or that now SHE would be his doctor! Nobody, even the doctors, could tell me if they thought my baby would stay for days or weeks or how long, or even give me an estimate!. We had to call a case manager and complain to get stuff done! 2 days later our son was home! I believe they were trying to keep him as long as they could to bill the insurance. (Later we found out insurance got billed $1200/day NICU stay!) There was no reason for him to stay that long. (11 days) He was no longer on any oxygen, monitors, or anything. Yall seriously need to get your act together. If we have another baby we will be going somewhere else. I have already heard that several of the specialist are moving, and that this hospital is "NOT what it may have once been"!! Aren't yall a level 3 NICU??? If you can't conduct yourself like one please dont make us all believe you are!! SIDE NOTE:One of our friends had a baby born at 26 weeks and the baby died because of a simple infection they failed to catch in time IN THE NICU! So disappointed in this place now!

I.V. port was not changed after the recommended 3 days. It was left in 6 resulting in post hospitalization discomfort and hopefully no damage to the vein. My first R. N. had such a heavy accent, I literally could not understand her. It does not help that the nurses have their backs to you when they are at the computer. Putting patient first?

They are an amazing team. Always very kind to me and work quickly as they can to solve my problems. In the ER at 8p.m. and out before 10p.m. Excellent manners and support when I was a crying mess. Had all my kids here as well, just the best staff and I can't say more good about them.
